The collection "Crisis? What Crisis?’ alludes to the so-called crisis of masculinity. Rather than a crisis, Voraitė states, it's a search for a new masculinity. The collection challenges broken stereotypes, with power and male dominance slipping, as in the workplace, and in families, we notice how role dynamics slowly unstitch. Or is there simply an increased value of femininity?

 

Using what we recognise as gendered fabric, silhouette and colour, Vaida Voraitė explores how the divide between men and women's fashion is created. A man wearing a dress, unmanly? Or rather; sensitivity is a sign of strength.
